Toss Australia chose to field vs India

Australia captain Matthew Wade won the toss and elected to field against India in the T20I series finale in Bengaluru.

Wade had no hesitation to bowl on a surface he described as “tacky” amid overcast conditions at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium with rain threatening to impact the contest.

The fifth and final match is effectively a dead rubber after India took an unassailable 3-1 lead in Raipur. Even though the series is in the bag, India have resisted the temptation to rest players and make wholesale changes. Left-arm quick Arshdeep Singh has, however, replaced Deepak Chahar, who missed the match following a medical emergency.
Just two weeks removed from their World Cup title, Australia will finish their long campaign away from home. But only opener Travis Head and Tanveer Sangha were part of Australia’s World Cup squad and they have been named in the playing XI.
Australia have chopped and changed their line-up throughout the series, but made just one change for this game, with seamer Nathan Ellis replacing spinner Chris Green.

India 1 Yashasvi Jaiswal, 2 Ruturaj Gaikwad, 3 Shreyas Iyer, 4 Suryakumar Yadav (capt), 5 Jitesh Sharma (wk), 6 Rinku Singh, 7 Axar Patel 8, Ravi Bishnoi, 9 Ardsheep Singh, 10 Avesh Khan, 11 Mukesh Kumar

Australia 1 Josh Phillippe, 2 Travis Head, 3 Ben McDermott, 4 Aaron Hardie, 5 Tim David, 6 Matthew Short, 7 Matthew Wade (capt, wk), 8 Ben Dwarshuis, 9 Nathan Ellis, 10 Jason Behrendorff, 11 Tanveer Sangha
